ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The State Government Affairs Conference (GAC) is
the largest and most important annual legislative event for
Wisconsin credit unions. Every January, credit union Activists from all
over the state travel to Madison and meet with their lawmakers to ensure
that credit unions and their members’ voices are heard. Many young
professionals haven’t had the opportunity to attend this important
event or meet with lawmakers to talk about credit unions before, so
we’re working to change that.
The State GAC is held on January 22-23, 2013 and The League will
be hosting a special Advocacy Training Workshop for young
professionals at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21. $99 is the special
registration fee for YPs, which includes attendance to both the workshop
and State GAC (nearly half the regular registration price). Here is the
full schedule of events:

Affairs staff

4:30 – 5:30 PM Credit Union Activist panel
