Performance Management Investigation Services

Internal investigations are formal inquiries into complaints of sexual or other harassment or any misconduct.  Conducting a prompt and effective investigation is crucial to correcting any misconduct that may have occurred, to handling a complaint sufficiently internally, thereby lessening the risk that the complaining employee will file a charge or lawsuit.  And if an employee does file a charge or lawsuit, it will serve as a defense that the credit union had an effective internal complaint policy that the employee failed to use.

It is essential that these investigations are performed by someone who is skilled at soliciting the appropriate information, questioning the right individuals, and doing so in a non-threatening manner that respects the rights of all involved.  In some situations, a credit union may with to use an outside impartial investigator to ensure that the matter is dealt with quickly and effectively.  This service will be provided by Joanne Whiting, who will conduct the investigation and provide a report of her factual findings, a conclusion about whether inappropriate conduct occurred, and, where called for, a recommendation for discipline.

For more information please contact Jo Whiting at (262) 408-6044, or via e-mail at jwhiting@theleague.coop.
