Michael Mallow, Vice Chair - Region 5
President of Sheboygan Area Credit
Union
Mike has been in the financial industry for more
than 30 years. He also currently serves on The
League’s Services Council and The League Services
Corp. Board of Directors. He is a former chapter board member and
chapter president.
Mike is a strong proponent of the "people helping
people" philosophy that has been the cornerstone of the credit union
movement. He believes that credit unions need to work together
(rather than against one another) to maintain our long-term viability.
He believes the industry needs to constantly seek new paths so that
it can remain competitive and overcome the pressure from the banking
industry to eliminate credit unions. Mike also believes credit unions
need to work together not only to survive, but also to excel in the
delivery and offering of services to members and potential members.

Brian Prunty, Director
Asset Group D: More than $500 million in
assets
CEO of CoVantage Credit Union
Brian has seen his credit union grow from $67 million in
assets with 36 employees to having almost $1 billion in assets and 254
employees across its 11 offices.
Brian says credit unions must tap sustainable
technologies in order to improve service. This, he says, is also
essential to maximize productivity and thrive in an environment of
ever-tightening margins. He urges all credit unions to participate in
the comment process as new rules and regs take shape, and to fully
digest resources like the ii releases provided by the League's Legal
Affairs staff to achieve compliance.
Brian says that our system's healthy capital shows that,
fundamentally, the credit union system is strong. Read Brian's Meet the Board profile.

Tim Tranberg,
Director
Asset Group C $100 million to
$500 million in assets
EVP of Co-op Credit Union
As EVP of Co-op Credit Union, Tim has 26 years
of experience making personal loans, mortgage loans and business loans.
But he still spends much of his time directly serving members.
He says that while compliance obligations have grown
more complex for credit unions these last few years, the job of managing
compliance shouldn't just fall to one person. Rather, it's everybody's
business at the credit union. And credit unions should take advantage of
the wealth of opportunities The League provides for compliance
assistance. Read Tim's Meet the Board profile. Contact
