Learn about WI Jump$tart Coalition and reality simulation on Oct. 19
Credit unions are invited to attend the annual Wisconsin Jump$tart Coalition Meeting, which will be held on Oct. 19. The meeting will be followed by a lunch with teachers and their community partners who will be attending a training class for Reality Days. These events involve teens in a financial reality simulation that can build real-world financial management skills. You'll learn how to structure an effective program in which young participants are given jobs, income, a family and debt and are asked to find housing, transportation, food, etc. while balancing a budget. The Jump$tart meeting and the training program will both be held at the Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells. RSVP to Theresa Walker, Department of Financial Institutions, by Oct. 11.

2010 Wisconsin Credit Union Compensation Survey now available
The League's 2010 Compensation Survey, which outlines the pay rates for various staff positions within credit unions, is now available. The survey is a useful tool that can help your credit union make informed decisions about the rate of pay so it can successfully attract and retain qualified staff. Credit unions that contributed to the survey should have received through e-mail a link to a pdf file of the report.
