Young Professionals Council provides
insights into teaching the CU Difference during first meeting
Credit unions understand that they must attract young members to
remain vital, but many don’t know how to go about it. As shown in a recent
CUNA’s 2008 Member Statistics research study, credit unions have found
some success in attracting members of the peak borrowers age group (ages

shed light on how credit unions can attract and retain that age group as
members.

“Red Flags” deadline extended for state-chartered credit unions
The

suspended enforcement of the new “red flags” rules until May 1, 2009,
which will allow most Wisconsin credit unions an extra six months to
develop their identity theft prevention programs. Prior to this
suspension, the FTC required credit unions to comply by Nov. 1.
