About the Program
Bankruptcy Update: Is It Over? The simple answer is NO! Members are
still filing for bankruptcy at an alarming rate. While consumer filings
in 2012 were actually lower than 2011 they were still as high as before
bankruptcy reform! What will the rest of 2013 look like? Are you
prepared? This session will examine the current state of consumer
bankruptcy and how it continues to impact credit unions. It will focus
on the nuts and bolts of an effective bankruptcy recovery and loss
reduction program.
From the basics of bankruptcy terms to the most common landmines to
maximizing recovery methods in collections, this program walks the
credit union professional through the complicated world of bankruptcy in
an easy to understand (and retain) format.
