Directors: learn governance best
practices from a regulatory perspective
The League—as well as the Wisconsin
Office of Credit Unions and National Association of State Credit Union
Supervisors (NASCUS)—encourage all credit union board members,
supervisory committee members, other volunteers and managers to attend a
new, enhanced Director’s College June 26 to gain regulators’
perspective on credit union governance and leadership.
The one-day training is set for 8:30 to 4 p.m.
at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton. Because its content is all
new, prior Director’s College attendees are urged to participate
along with first-timers. The session will include:
-
- An update on key issues impacting state credit unions
nationwide, by Mary Martha Fortney, President & CEO of
NASCUS.
- An interactive session on good governance best
practices by renowned governance expert Bud Crouch of Tecker
International.
- A focus on regulators and volunteers’ role in managing
credit union risk by Ginger Larson, Director of the Wisconsin
Office of Credit Unions.
- Bank Secrecy Act Essentials for Boards with Paul
Guttormsson, Legal Counsel with the Wisconsin Credit Union League
The early bird rate is $149 per person and
expires June 5. A fourth attendee participates at no cost! Register today, and please direct any questions to Jenny at NASCUS.
