Foundation scholarships help CU staff better advocate for and serve
members

“I have taken away a better
understanding of the credit union movement, life-long friends, and most
importantly a new passion for the credit union movement. The 7-day
training program is something I will value and have no doubt that it has
already strengthened my career.”
-Mikal Gilliat, Brewery Credit Union, on his
participation in the NCUF Development Education Program

The Wisconsin Credit Union Foundation has dedicated itself to the
professional development and continued education of credit union staff
and volunteers through its Professional Development Scholarship.
The scholarships help credit staff and volunteers participate in two
important programs: National Credit Union
Foundation’s Development Education Program and the CUNA Management
School.
Two scholarships were awarded in 2009. One went to Mikal Gilliat from
Brewery Credit Union, who attended the NCUF Development Education
Program, while the other went to Beth Krahn from County-City Credit
Union so that she could attend the CUNA Management School.
The scholarships will be offered again in 2010 to help other credit
union staff and volunteers continue their education so that they can
better advocate for and better serve Wisconsin credit unions’ 2.2
million members.
If you would like to help The Foundation continue to provide services
like the Professional Development Scholarships, please consider making a contribution today.
