Our united League/CUNA system delivers the know-how to serve members and manage all aspects of your operations. You gain the knowledge, skills & peer contacts you need to succeed!

 

Your League:

 

  • Trains 90% of all WI credit unions through 200+ programs each year that help 2,600+ front line, back office, & executive staff (and directors) acquire skills, spot trends, implement best practices & meet expectations of state & federal regulators. Your League offers decades of experience providing you Wisconsin-specific compliance training.

 

  • Offers convenience through live webinars & archived  sessions available 24/7 for management, front-line staff, compliance officers and directors. Participants can choose 30-minute quick courses or 1-1/2 hour comprehensive courses. See our calendar for upcoming live webinars and convenient Telecourses.

 

  • Equips directors to fulfill their role via webinars, self-paced correspondence courses & a certificate program that brings learning to them. Directors also access training in person at Convention & the fall Director’s Conference. On-demand financial literacy training imparts key competencies to directors of state-chartered CUs that NCUA requires of directors of federal CUs.  

 

  • Facilitates networking & idea sharing. Roundtables that encourage dialog are offered by asset size for CEOs and by area of expertise, e.g., mortgage lending, compliance, HR and service outreach. Convention convenes close to 700 attendees for four days of training and networking.

 

  • Develops the next generation of leaders. The free Young Professionals (YP) Network unites more than 350 credit union staff and directors ages 35 and younger as part of local meet-ups & quarterly Boot Camps that focus on career development, innovation & advocacy.

 

  • Offers freebies & discounts. Each credit union with $20 million or less in assets receives two free compliance webinars annually. Free CDs accompany most archived webinars. Additional discounts extend to credit unions for multiple registrations. Convention offers a significant discount for Young Professionals. Year-round we alert credit unions to dozens of free CU-system trainings.

CUNA:

 

 

  • Hosts impactful educational events convening thousands of leading credit union executives and top presenters on political, regulatory, operational, product and trend issues. These include the CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC), America’s Credit Union Conference  (ACUC) and CUNA Community Credit Union & Growth Conference, in addition to key topical events such as CUNA Risk Management Institute, CUNA Regulatory Compliance School and CUNA Councils events.

 

  • Educates and energizes credit union directors through the CUNA Volunteer Leadership Committee, CUNA Volunteer Network, Volunteer Achievement Program, CUNA Volunteer Institute, CUNA Volunteer Certification Program and Directors Newsletter.

 

  • Expands networking through Councils, more than 6,000 credit union professionals from 1,600 credit unions who link peers with industry resources. These groups—which focus on technology, finance, lending, H.R./Training/Development and Operations, Sales & Service—hold major industry conferences, dozens of virtual roundtables and maintain a 300+ white paper library sharing best practices. Councils have awarded 45 scholarships totaling $112,500.
