The average marketer knows his or her way around social media channels like blogs, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Web 2.0 and more. But knowing the tools is just part of the equation. Knowing how to use them for effective member engagement, relationship building and income generation is quite another.

Mark Arnold, an acclaimed speaker, brand expert and strategic planner for credit unions who captured CUNA's National Marketing Professional of the Year award, will share best practices in using social media tools strategically to accomplish your credit union's business objectives. He'll help you:

  • Understand the capabilities & limitations of various social media channels
  • Examine the two "S"s of effective social media: strategy & staff
  • Explore the top 10 new technologies
  • Devise creative strategies for member engagement via social channels
  • Incorporate social media into your marketing & strategic plans
  • Gain insights from successful credit union case studies implementing social strategies

You'll put these insights to the test as part of an interactive exercise challenging you to "Engage or Die."

The afternoon will highlight Wisconsin credit unions' most successful outreach strategies for creating meaningful relationships with members. In-school branches, community initiatives and more will offer a blueprint by which your credit union can bring financial wellness and service to existing and future members.

If your credit union has a program that has exceeded your expectations, we want to feature you among our panelists who'll share the "Top Topics in Twenty"—20-minute synopses detailing your credit union's steps to success. Share your ideas with Jennifer Esser at The League.
