The League’s 2009 Year in Review: Part 3 of 4
The League’s in-person, telephone and Internet programs helped
to better equip front line staff, board members and management to
fulfill their roles. In 2009 we:
- Involved more than 3,500 credit union employees in free
online investment training as part of our RP3 (Real Progress and Pathways to
Prosperity) program, whose aim is to grow employees’
and members’ wealth as well as achieve greater bottom-line results
for credit unions through greater referrals to investment resources.
- Offered more than 94 training programs
to almost 1,700 participants.
- Offered free convention registration for up to four
individuals per credit union and educated more than 1,100 convention
attendees on a wide range of topics.
- Provided timely webinars on the latest regulatory changes.
Our expanded compliance webinar series explained a landslide of new
regulations. New webinars for directors also helped credit unions expand
volunteer training while managing costs.
- Facilitated roundtable discussions for credit unions for
networking and idea sharing. Sessions were offered by asset size as well
as area of expertise – marketing, information technology and human
resources.
Watch for part four in our next newsletter that will outline how The
League’s consulting services offered support, ideas, knowledge,
referrals and more to address a diverse array of complex issues
affecting credit unions’ operations, service and financial
performance.
In case you missed them, here are Part 1 and Part 2 of the
series.
