Do it right: lending, deposits, escrow, appraisals and
more
Whether you work in lending, collections, compliance or
management, you play a role in ensuring that every transaction is done
right. So mark your calendar now for May 16 & 17 in Wausau to gain
knowledge on hot topics like proposed and final rules by regulators that
affect lending, deposits and operations, and how they must be
implemented.
Staff from all areas of your credit union’s
operations need to understand that every process has a purpose in
today’s regulatory environment, and they need to appreciate how
the work they do affects the safety, reputation and financial
security of your credit union. That is what you’ll gain from The
League’s Compliance Officer School!
This important training will cover appraisals,
TILA/RESPA, escrow, ability to pay, fair lending issues, Bank Secrecy
Act, CFPB proposed and final rules on deposit accounts and operations,
Reg. E and remittance transfer rule, advertising deposits and the Reg.
CC proposed rule.
Presenter Andrea Stritzke’s aim is to ensure
credit union employees from varying backgrounds appreciate the need for
compliance and take ownership in the role they play in achieving it for
the good of both the credit union and its members.
Stritzke is a nationally recognized speaker and attorney
who has spent her career interpreting compliance issues. She has
expertise with new product development and strategic compliance program
management as well as a background with the Nebraska courts.
"Compliance isn’t something that just one employee
at a credit union needs to care about, because it affects everyone who
plays a role in serving members at some level," said Jennifer Esser,
Director of Education for The League. "Everyone who works for a credit
union is in part a compliance officer for practical purposes, if not by
title. This training will have something for everyone."
