The League's first roundtables of 2013 include:
- The Small Credit Union
Roundtable – taking place March 6 in
Wisconsin Dells – will focus on building your auto lending program
and the new resources smaller credit unions have with the change of
NCUA's definition of "small" credit unions from $30 million to $50
million and under. Jack Gill, CEO of First Community Credit Union of
Beloit, will share his top five best practices to help your credit union
succeed in today's market and League President & CEO Brett Thompson
will provide updates on state and national issues affecting the

- The HR Roundtable– taking place Feb. 20 in Appleton, offers updates to
the law and practical insights on some of the hottest issues affecting
employment including social media policies, the new health care law
(Affordable Care Act), and concealed carry of weapons. Submit ideas to
our topic agenda which also includes handling snow days and "working
vacations," leave donations between employees, Fair Credit Reporting Act
form changes for 2013, background checks, personnel recordkeeping,
employee evaluations and investigation and termination tips.
- The Compliance Roundtable– set for March 21 in Pewaukee, will explain which regs
require risk assessments and best practices to mitigate liability
concerning these risks; compliance requirements coming in 2013
concerning mortgage lending, Truth in Lending & RESPA; the highest
compliance priorities credit unions face and how to tackle them, proper
documentation for the many forms credit unions must complete and finding
the compliance guidance you need online. Meet the League's Compliance
Specialist Team that tackles compliance tasks in-house for 23 credit
unions that share their services and hear what they're accomplishing.
