Get recognized for the difference your credit union makes daily

Your credit union makes a difference in members’ lives and within the community on a daily basis. Why not get recognized for it?

Credit unions that make a difference through the uniqueness of credit union philosophy, financial education and community service can get recognized for those efforts by applying for one of these awards:

  • Desjardins Youth & Adult Financial Education Award, which honors credit unions for outstanding involvement in financial education. Two separate awards will recognize credit unions’ efforts with youth and adults.

  • Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Award, which honors credit unions for their charitable work to benefit the community.

  • Louise Herring Philosophy in Action Member Service Award, which recognizes credit unions that do an outstanding job at exhibiting the credit union philosophy as part of their policies, pricing and practices with members.

"I'd recommend that credit unions review the REAL Solutions Scorecard for ideas on which programs to highlight when submitting award entries," said Chad Helminak, The League's VP of Development. "These award programs recognize efforts that go beyond the services of traditional banking and speak to the credit union difference, which aligns perfectly with the mission of REAL Solutions®."

Submit entries by July 19. For more information, contact Chad Helminak at (608) 514-0080.
