Director-focused learning happens Oct. 18-19 in Elkhart Lake
Reinforce your credit union's governance with the skills you'll learn
at the League's annual Director's Conference. Sessions on the
economy, state credit union issues, the Bank Secrecy Act, detecting
red flags, attracting and developing younger staff and members,
succession planning and strategic planning, it's a jam-packed
learning experience. We'll also enjoy the humor of Roger Seip and plenty
of networking and relaxation.
On Friday, receive an update from League President & CEO Brett
Thompson on critical issues for state credit unions and an update on the
economy from CUNA Economist Steve Rick.
Then choose one of two concurrent sessions on either the Bank Secrecy
Act for directors or detecting red flags in board reports.
That afternoon, League VP of Development Chad Helminak explains best
practices for developing staff and attracting younger members.
Then, humorist and nationally acclaimed corporate speaker Roger Seip
helps you "train your brain for success."
A reception, group dinner and after-dinner program provide a relaxing
wrap-up to the day.
On Saturday, Sean McDonald, a frequent national conference
presenter, will explain the dire need for succession planning as top CU
executives prepare to retire, and equip you with the top 10 items that
should be on your agenda when strategic planning.
