Jo Whiting, Executive VP/Chief Advocacy Officer/General Counsel. Jo Whiting is legal counsel to the Wisconsin Credit Union League & Affiliates. Prior to joining the League, she was an attorney in private practice, where she led her law firm’s Credit Union Group and was a member of the Labor & Employment Team. Jo has been a frequent speaker about compliance at seminars and training sessions for employers, their employees, credit unions, CUNA, and state leagues. She has incorporated her experience and expertise into the development of the programs for these HR Performance Management Services.

Mary Bliss, Executive VP/COO. Mary Bliss joined the Wisconsin Credit Union League & Affiliates in June of 1978. During her time at The League, Mary established and developed the Human Resources Department where she is now Director. In that position, she designed salary surveys, compensation plans and other HR-related services for the League and its member credit unions.

Currently, Mary's consulting services are available through The League to credit unions across Wisconsin.

Our Services

Employee Handbook
Now your credit union can quickly and easily have a compliant employee handbook customized for Wisconsin. There are two Employee Handbooks from which to choose, both written expressly for Wisconsin credit unions. The Employee Handbook for credit unions with 50 or more employees includes a policy on the Family and Medical Leave Acts and incorporates modifications throughout to ensure compliance. Human Resource Consulting
Through The League Services Corp.'s HR Performance Management Services, we will provide employment-related consultation desired by your credit union, including topics such as policies, hiring and/or firing, recordkeeping, performance evaluations, position descriptions, wages and hours (exemptions, hours worked, etc.), suspicious activity reporting, absenteeism and leave issues, disability questions, family and medical leave, and internal investigations.

Human Resource Investigations
Internal investigations are formal inquiries into complaints of sexual or other harassment or any misconduct. Conducting a prompt and effective investigation is crucial to correcting any misconduct that may have occurred, to handling a complaint sufficiently internally, thereby lessening the risk that the complaining employee will file a charge or lawsuit.
