PROTECT THE CREDIT UNION MOVEMENT
The credit union world is complex. From existing compliance
burdens to new rules and regulations, the government plays a massive
role in how your credit union operates minute-to-minute and how you're
ultimately able to meet your members' needs. Those complexities can be
made better or worse depending on your relationship with public
officials who pass or oppose laws and regulations affecting you.
Highlighting REAL Solutions® programs that service members, your
community and the next generation, is the first step in protecting,
promoting and preserving the credit union charter. The most effective
way to do that is to explain your financial education efforts, small
loans and more during face-to-face meetings with policymakers.
It is absolutely essential for local leaders like you to visit
lawmakers representing you and your members and explain how your credit
union makes a difference in the lives of the voters in their districts!
You and your credit union cannot afford to miss the 2013 State
Government Affairs Conference. We look forward to seeing you in
Madison.
If we don't tell our story at the GAC, these are the falsehoods that
the Wisconsin Bankers Association will continue telling lawmakers about
you! Be there to set the record straight! Click here!
