Member Service representative 2 (Sr Teller)

 

Summit has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Member Service Representative 3 (Senior Teller) at our VA Hospital Branch in Milwaukee. We are looking for outgoing, energetic candidates who have prior customer service, sales and cash handling skills. Bilingual skills are a plus! Help us be the resource to a richer life for our members. Member Service Representatives are responsible for engaging in meaningful interactions with our members at the teller line. You will promptly and courteously provide information, conduct transactions for members and identify their needs by cross-selling appropriate products and/or services.

 

1.  Member Service Reps at Summit also

 

  • Act as the face of the organization and first point of contact for members.
  • Build and maintain positive rapport with members, and actively solicit their needs and suggestions.
  • Make recommendations, offer advice and refer members to other solutions in an effort to help them improve their financial situation.
  • Conduct teller transactions, fulfill the needs of members accurately, and balance each day.
  • Resolve account errors and provide maintenance on accounts for members.
  • Assist members in identifying potential problems and present solutions along with associated advantages and drawbacks.
  • Open and close basic account relationships for current members.
  • Set up or update payroll changes and deductions, and order checks when appropriate.

 

 

2.  Provide support to the branch.

  • Authorize check holds up to assigned limit and utilize senior team members to authorize higher level cash access decisions as necessary.

  • Requires judgment to solve day-to-day unique and in-depth problems but usually within established guidelines.

  • Basic mathematical skills required, including the ability to perform interest, pay-off, dividend and certificate penalty calculations.

  • Three years lead teller experience required.

Operations Manager - Sentry Credit Union

 

As the Operations Manager, you will oversee and manage front end and back end operations daily in the Sentry Credit Union (SCU) as well as manage the mortgage loan program. You will assist the SCU President in developing new programs and services as well as analyzing financial activity.

 


What You’ll Do

 

  • Direct all credit union operations by planning and recommending programs and policies and providing general administrative direction
  • Oversee mortgage and home equity lending operations as well as teller, member services and accounting operations
  • Ensure the President is kept fully informed on the conditions and operations of the credit union and of all important factors influencing them
  • Manage financial resources to assure conformance to the annual department budget
  • Administer human resource-related activities including timely performance and salary reviews and all staff adheres to human resources policies and practices
  • Research, develop, and recommend new mortgage loan products, marketing strategies, etc.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5-8 years of work experience in a financial institution and previous supervisory experience and/or training

Mortgage Loan Officer, ACU

 

POSITION PURPOSE:


Reviews and analyzes mortgage and consumer loan applications for approval or denial. Interviews and assists members with loan inquiries and applications, and provides financial counseling. Responsible for an effective delinquency control and follow-up program for all loan accounts that are late, delinquent, potentially delinquent, or charged off.

 


REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:


Reports to the President of Aurora Credit Union.


No subordinates report to this position.

 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Reviews loan applications to determine eligibility for approval based on analysis, collateral and established policies. Assembles loan applications, coordinates appraisals for loans, computes debt ratios, verifies employment and income, orders credit reports, appraisals, title searches, and originations as needed.

 

  • Closes mortgage and consumer loans and perfects all liens and security interests.

 

  • Explains credit policies and obtains additional loan information. Answers member questions relating to lending policies and procedures, application, and lending related questions. Counsels members regarding money management/financial matters and regarding denied loan requests.

 

  • Ensures that loans are granted in accordance with established Aurora Credit Union policies and are legally compliant with all federal and state regulations.

 

  • Ensures that loan requests and disbursements are properly prepared, documented, approved, and promptly disbursed. Reviews the accuracy and completeness of all loan documentation to ascertain all liens are perfected and will protect security interests.

 

  • Contacts members to determine the reason for the past due condition of the loan(s) and helps them develop a plan to bring the loan(s) to a current condition. Reviews delinquency notices to send to members and ensures that the notices are complete and accurate as of the mailing date.

 

  • Maintains a detailed written record of all communications made regarding delinquent accounts. Maintains records and filing reports on delinquent and charged-off accounts.

 

  • Prepares information needed or required by collection agencies.

Consumer Loan Underwriter
