Wisconsin Credit Union Legislative Action Fund (WCULAF) and Credit Union Legislative Action Council (CULAC)

The Wisconsin Credit Union Legislative Action Fund (WCULAF) is the political action committee (PAC), sponsored by the Wisconsin Credit Union League, that credit union supporters utilize to provide support for state candidates. Credit Union Legislative Action Council (CULAC) supports candidates running for federal office and is sponsored by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA).

Both WCULAF and CULAC receive voluntary contributions from individuals.  That money is then used to support candidates or elected officials that are credit union supporters, hold influential positions or are strategically relevant in policymaking.  No contributions come from credit unions, co-ops, or other corporations.  No money from dues paid to The League or CUNA are contributed to candidates.

The election of credit union-friendly candidates is beneficial for Wisconsin's credit unions and their 2.2 million member-owners.  Using WCULAF and CULAC is one way The League and CUNA provide an effective voice for the industry in the legislative process at the state and federal levels. 

There is no minimum contribution for WCULAF or CULAC.  Please know that any and all amounts are greatly appreciated!

The WCULAF Capital Club

For a contribution of $120.00 (or more) per election cylce/$5.00 per month, you can become a member of the prestigious “WCULAF Capital Club.”

For your generous contribution, you will receive a distinctive lapel pin. The WCULAF Capital Club has three levels:

            Legislative       $120 or more within the 2 year election cycle          
                       

            Capitol            $250 or more within the 2 year election cycle         

 

            VIP                 $500 or more within the 2 year election cycle          
                                                                        

Pins are awarded every other year, consistent with the state election cycle.

CULAC Contribution Pin Levels

For a contribution of $25.00 (or more) per year, you can take part in CUNA's prestigious "CULAC Pin Levels."

For your generous contribution, you will receive a distinctive lapel pin bearing the CULAC logo. The CULAC Pin Levels are:

CULAC Contributor - $25 in a year

Capitol Club - $200 in a year

Chairman's Club - $500 in a year

Chairman's Club Leadership Circle - $1,000 in a year

Presidential Club - $2,500 in a year

Founder - $5,000 in a year

 

Remember that every contribution is valued and appreciated, and used to help put credit unions in a better position to protect and promote the interests of their members.

Neither PAC nor conduit contributions are tax deductible. All contributions are strictly voluntary and will be used for political purposes. You may refuse to contribute without reprisal. The League and CUNA must meet all state and federal reporting requirements as appropriate.
