Speaker: Luann S. Kohlmann, AAP, NCP, WACHA

About the Program
Financial institutions can suffer losses when ACH  exceptions are not handled properly. This session will  prepare you to handle the challenges of unposted items, stop payments, and unauthorized/disputed entries appropriately. This program will use scenarios and case studies to explain timeframes and usage of the proper ACH return reason codes and required forms. Recent ACH rule changes, some of which go into effect in 2015, will impact the unauthorized return rate process and implement a new overall return rate monitoring system within the network. Going forward, even NSF and account closed returns will be monitored by ACH operators. Now more than ever, how RDFIs handle return items will not only impact their bottom line, but will also impact ODFIs and originators.
