The League seeks content from credit unions to fill new advocacy website

The League is asking credit unions to provide stories and content for its newest advocacy tool, the REAL Solutions "For A Reason" website. The site highlights Wisconsin credit unions' REAL Solutions and its content, organized by chapter, consists of video testimonials from CU staff, volunteers and members, as well as news stories and images detailing credit union outreach.
However, the site is brand new and needs your content. Through April, League staff will be coordinating video opportunities with credit unions through the chapter system to film new content. These videos need only be a minute or two and could be even shorter - a non-glitzy, casual explanation of how your credit union's efforts impact your members' lives, communities or local youth. At any time you are welcome to provide (or arrange with us to take) a short clip that shows the very personal, meaningful impact your help has had in a member's life. If you are interested in sharing a story, please contact Chad Helminak, Web Producer and Media Relations Manager at (800) 242-0833, Ext. 6012, as soon as possible to coordinate a video shoot with a League representative.

Foundation accepting applications for NCUF Development Education Program Scholarship
As part of its Professional Development Scholarship Program, the Wisconsin Credit Union Foundation has made available a scholarship for the National Credit Union Foundation (NCUF) Development Education (DE) Program. The DE program teaches attendees how to advocate for credit unions using their cooperative principles, social impact and uniqueness as a competitive advantage. The recipient of the scholarship may receive up to $2,000 that will be used to reimburse their credit union after the program is successfully completed. Applicants must be a staff, member and/or volunteer of a League affiliated credit union with $50 million or below in assets. Applicants must also be actively involved in credit union activities, such as chapter meetings, committee work, credit union Activism, etc. Applications are due by March 1 with the recipient receiving notification by March 15. For more information, contact Mary Bliss at (800) 242-0833.
