League exposes WBA tax attack, sets record straight with media
The Wisconsin Bankers Association (WBA) stumbled again this month in its ongoing effort to harm credit unions and their members. Earlier, in July, WBA tried staying below the radar, asking Wisconsin's members of Congress to heap more taxes on the average Wisconsin citizens who own credit unions. And when The League exposed those efforts — and WBA's hypocrisy on taxation — via a news release, the WBA could do nothing but issue another regurgitation of the same faulty information in a press release of its own. The League again hammered the WBA with a news release in August shedding even more light on the value of credit unions and the truth on taxation.
