CUNA is continuing to urge credit unions to contact their lawmakers and ask for their support on proposed debit interchange fee legislation, S. 575 and H.R. 1081, which would delay implementation of the Federal Reverse's proposed debit interchange rule. Contribute to and bid on items at the WCULAF Silent Auction 
Each credit union chapter has been asked to contribute to the WCULAF Silent Auction at this year's Convention. Through April 29, chapters can provide an item or make a financial contribution for one to be purchased by League staff. Consider donating a single large item (valued at $250 or more) or two items -- one large ($100-250) and one small (less than $100). The auction will be open to bidders from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday, May 6. All items must be paid for with personal -- not corporate -- credit cards or checks. The event benefits The League's state PAC fund, WCULAF, which supports pro-credit union lawmakers. Retiring presidents, chairs & long-term staff to be honored at Convention
The League will honor retiring credit union presidents and board chairs, as well as credit union staff and volunteers with 50 years of service in the movement, during its Annual Convention, May 4-7 at the Kalahari Resort & Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells. Mike Mallow re-elected as League Director for Region 5
Mike Mallow, President of Sheboygan Area Credit Union, was re-elected as League Director for Region 5 following a mail ballot election that ended on March 31. In February, Kevin Hauser, President of Westby Co-op Credit Union and Jennifer Schilling, President of Empower Credit Union, were both re-elected to The League Board for Region 1 and Region 3, respectively. The two were re-elected by acclamation after no other nomination papers were submitted.
