Help engage your Spanish-speaking members in advocacy for the credit union tax status by sharing a link to the Spanish language version of the "Don't Tax My Credit Union" website & video. Refer to CUNA's Spanish language toolkit for web graphics and other materials to enhance your outreach.

Be creative when telling Congress "Don't tax my CU!"
Wisconsin credit unions are finding some creative ways to boost their "Don't Tax My Credit Union" advocacy. With just two dedicated weeks of advocacy remaining, Wisconsin has moved up in total grassroots contacts to Congress, ranking 10th in the nation. But with fewer than 30 credit unions having reached their individual goals for grassroots contacts, there's room for us to further increase our ranking using shared resources from The League & CUNA. One of credit unions' top concerns is preserving a regulatory environment that protects members without inhibiting credit unions' ability to deliver services and grow. Your League monitors both state and federal rules and regulations from when they're first proposed through their implementation, using input from credit unions to shape the specific requirements credit unions must follow under the law. Foundation offers grants & a scholarship
The Wisconsin Credit Union Foundation is offering Development Grants that credit unions can use to offset technology and operational expenses, and a Young Professional Scholarship of up to $2,000 to apply toward a national conference in 2014. Read the Development & YP funding guidelines. Applications for both the Development & YP funds are due Oct. 31.

Agenda set for next Young Professionals Boot Camp Oct. 8
The League's next Young Professionals Boot Camp, set for Oct. 8 near La Crosse, will focus on creative thinking to enhance your credit union's operations and strategic planning.
