Federal regulator releases 2011 cost estimates to strengthen CU system

FREE Supervisory Committee Audit Training on Dec. 2
The League will be hosting at its Pewaukee office a FREE Supervisory Committee Audit Training being conducted by the National Credit Union Administration on Dec. 2. There session, scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m., will provide training to Supervisory Committees regarding the procedures to follow while conducting the Annual Supervisory Audit, including interim audit procedures. The YP Council expands knowledge of CU system partners
The League’s Young Professionals Council held its Nov. 18 meeting at the Credit Union National Association’s (CUNA) Madison offices in an effort to learn more about, and from, the many credit union system partners located there. Council members heard from representatives from CUNA, CUNA Mutual Group, the National Credit Union Foundation, World Council of Credit Unions and the Filene Research Institute. The Council, which up until this year served originally as an advisory group for The League’s initiatives, has changed direction in an effort to educate young professionals about all aspects of the movement and provide them with more opportunities. Free training on"reality fairs" Dec. 15 offers tips to add younger members
You won't have to leave your office Dec. 15 to participate in a free training that will teach your credit union an effective way of adding younger members. A free session Dec. 15 focusing on "reality fairs" will explain how you can engage teens - sometimes entire student bodies from  local schools - in learning real-world financial management. Participants are given jobs, income, a family and debt and are asked to find housing, transportation, food, etc. while balancing a budget. Watch The League's calendar of events for more information!
