Don't miss the Collections Roundtable April 10 in Appleton

Your success at collections hinges on your understanding of the legal framework of bankruptcy law and the required timing for action. This year's Collections Roundtable, led by top bankruptcy law expert Thomas J. King, focuses on both.

Thomas J. King, Chapter 13 Trustee, will be our guide.  He'll help dissect various chapters of federal bankruptcy code, rules of bankruptcy procedure and the effect of local rules.

Among the many issues he'll cover, you'll gain a better understanding about:

  • The debt limit under Chapter 13 and special provisions for serial filing,

  • The automatic stay and exceptions

  • How you can protect collateral during the automatic stay

  • Creditors' rights in a plan; and

  • What is and isn't dischargeable

The Roundtable also allows a forum for questions and informal dialog with peers, providing practical insights that are invaluable in maximizing your collections while acting in the best interests of members.
