By design, credit unions are equipped to support their communities inside and outside of their branches year-round. In 2025, Wisconsin’s credit unions donated $9 million total to charities, community projects, & civic groups, along with countless volunteer hours. Credit unions across the state also participate annually in CU Community Days, a week-long event highlighting just some of the work credit unions do to give back throughout the year, from combatting food insecurity to assembling hygiene kits to highway cleanup to assisting at animal shelters and more.
