Education is Key to Success

Our united League/CUNA system delivers the know-how to serve members and manage all aspects of your operations. You gain the knowledge, skills & peer contacts you need to succeed.

Your League

  • Trains 90% of all WI credit unions through 200+ programs each year that help 2,600+ front line, back office and executive staff (and directors) acquire skills, spot trends, implement best practices and meet expectations of state and federal regulators. Your League offers decades of experience providing you Wisconsin-specific compliance training.
  • Equips directors to fulfill their role via webinars and in person training at Convention and the fall Director’s Conference. On demand financial literacy training imparts key competencies to directors of state-chartered credit unions that NCUA requires of directors of federal credit unions.
  • Facilitates networking and idea sharing. Roundtables that encourage dialog are offered for CEOs of small, midsize and large credit unions, and by area of expertise, e.g., complianceHR and collectionsConvention convenes close to 700 attendees for four days of training and networking. Councils for Business Lending and Human Resources link professionals statewide for education, best-practice-sharing, collaboration and support. All League-member credit union professionals can use commUNITY, our online platform for 24/7 networking with peers to share ideas and have questions answered.
  • Develops the next generation of leaders. The free Young Professionals (YP) Network unites more than 640 credit union professionals ages 35 and younger from 77 credit unions as part of local meet-ups. Quarterly boot camps focus on career development, innovation & advocacy.

CUNA

  • Hosts impactful educational events convening thousands of leading credit union executives and top presenters on political, regulatory, operational, product and trend issues. These include the CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC), America’s Credit Union Conference  (ACUC) and CUNA Community Credit Union & Growth Conference, in addition to key topical events such as CUNA Risk Management Institute, CUNA Regulatory Compliance School and CUNA Councils events.
