After nearly 23 years serving as The Wisconsin Credit Union League’s (The League) President & CEO, Brett Thompson has announced his plans to retire in December 2024.

From February 10-18, over 100 participants moved it for The Movement, breaking a sweat and raising $18,000 to support the wellness of Wisconsin's credit unions.

This year marks the five year anniversary of this program in Wisconsin and the numbers speak to the success of this initiative. Wisconsinites have saved over $25.7 million, with an average saver's account balance of $1,629. Statewide winnings have exceeded $530,000 since 2018, with many credit unions choosing to award additional prizes to their own members. Prizes range from $100 to $5,000.

77 participants from three states were selected to participate in this year’s Tristate Mentor Match - a 12-month formal mentorship program developed in partnership by the Minnesota Credit Union Network, Montana’s Credit Unions and the Wisconsin Credit Union League. The program is designed to build, grow, and support professionals and inspire commitment to a career in the credit union movement. Now in its third year, the program is supporting its highest number of participants to date
