A member’s husband died suddenly at age 40, leaving her behind with two young children. Facing costly medical and funeral expenses with less-than-stellar credit, she hoped we would take into consideration her employment tenure and long relationship with the credit union. That’s exactly what we did, to help this member through her time of need. She thanked us, saying we reminded her of a sign in her home: “Arrive as a stranger, leave as family.”
