When an employee was assisting a member with an unrelated situation, he noticed that their mortgage with us had an interest rate of 5%, so he asked the member some questions and offered to process a rate modification to lower the rate to 2.75%, saving the member $232 on their monthly payment! While this means less income for the credit union, it is clearly an example of doing the right thing for our members!
