A member of ours was a victim of elder abuse and fraud, and her debts were leaving her with only $200 per month to spend on groceries and other basic costs. We reached out to Adult Human Services to get her help and refinanced all her debt by using her car as collateral. She now has over $700 per month to cover her needs, and is focusing on her mental health, participating in a budgeting program in Sheboygan, and is attending regular financial counseling sessions.
