Helping a "Catfishing" Victim When the Bank Wouldn't

We had a member whose primary financial was a bank. Recently, this member was "catfished" and scammed out of thousands of dollars. He had went to his bank and they refused to help or acnowledge the situation. Then, his family members got involved and brought him over to us to see if we could help him. After some tough conversations, the member ended the relationship with the scammer and we were able to refinance a vehicle to help him get out of debt. He has been one of the best members, pays on time, and is extremely thankful that we cared and were able to help him through one of the most difficult times in his life.
