Members of ours were hit hard by the effects of COVID-19. Both lost their jobs and were relying on unemployment while having four loans with us and their credit card. We were initially able to help them with two-month deferrals. As the pandemic continued, we were then able to offer a six-month modification on their loans and credit card, but they ultimately fell behind on payments. They reached out to us once more to see if there was anything else they could do. I worked with our underwriting team, and, as a result, restructured their debt into affordable payments. They have made good on those payments and have since been able to return to work.
