We had a member on the verge of losing her home that had been in the family for generations and both of her vehicles. Instead of foreclosure and repossession, we were able to restructure her home loan and consolidate the vehicle loans into a single payment. Although it meant a troubled-debt for the credit union that included a significant interest rate concession, the member was able get re-established and has been making timely payments for over a year, even in the midst of the pandemic. The member has not only kept her vehicles and family home, but has also been relieved of this mental burden.
