Every home loan has a story behind it, but the stories where we get to say "yes" to those who have been told "no" are the stories that prove that we truly make a difference. A member approached us about getting pre-approved for a home purchase but didn’t know if it would be possible due to her recent divorce, relocation, and current lack of a job. She was also grieving the loss of her mother who had just passed from COVID-19. To her astonishment, she was eligible for a down payment grant and was pre-approved for a home purchase. When closing day arrived, she we beyond excited and cried tears of joy. Even then, she couldn’t believe that she was able to purchase this home on her own so shortly after her life had been turned upside down.
