When a tornado ripped through the community, area residents and interstate travelers sought shelter in an Oakdale Credit Union branch's community shelter. Once the storm had passed, Oakdale immediately began providing special 0% interest, no-payments-for-90-day loans to help members get through the process of insurance claims.
