It’s so rewarding helping the next generation learn how to responsibly build their credit and a foundation for a better future. I had a member who had just turned 18 and knew nothing about credit. When I brought it up, she was like a deer in headlights. So, I took the time to explain how credit scores are calculated, what steps she could take to establish hers, and answer any questions she had. She was much more comfortable by the end of the conversation. I got her pre-approved for an auto loan on the spot, and she left feeling excited, knowing that she could start car shopping. I just got word that she closed on her loan, and I feel such joy knowing that I helped her accomplish that.
