Summary

The Strategic Advisor, Growth and Business Partnerships will drive all business aspects to further the evolution of Strategic Advisory Solutions (SAS). The position will be responsible for identifying and evaluating businesses for strategic partnership or acquisition purposes and diversifying SAS revenue streams. This position must work effectively on projects with multiple potential partners, other CUSG divisions, such as League Relations and Corporate Marketing, and third-party resources. This position will also have a keen understanding of the credit union industry, the credit unions served and emerging trends that will lead to viable business opportunities. **This is a remote-based position that must be based in one of these states AZ, FL, IL, IN, KS, MI, NV, NY, OH, TN, TX, and WI. Maybe required to travel up to 25% Our company policy requires all new hire to submit proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 on their start date. Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue diversification efforts through the development of business cases that provide the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) with strategic recommendations on inorganic growth and passive income opportunities.
  • Seek opportunities to create and construct business partnerships/collaborations, acquisition opportunities, joint venture or other structures that support the achievement of the SAS strategic initiatives.
  • Performs various phases of the research and transaction processes, including market assessments, strategy development, target identification and screening, due diligence, lead generation, and deal structuring.
  • Lead, support, and execute day-to-day development of strategic initiatives, including managing timelines, potential risks, and final deliverables. Develop marketing collateral and initiatives to promote partner products/services.
  • Manage communication and alignment with key internal stakeholders to establish cross functional alignment and support effective decision making.
  • Conducts product demos for potential partners. Maximize the sales potential of partners.
  • Assists with partnership contract negotiations.
  • Field inbound leads and convert conversations to product demonstrations
  • Responsible for personal & partnership sales quotas.
  • Partners with other CUSG divisions as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate work experience.
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, and group communication skills, both over the phone and via email.
  • Strong listening and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in an engaged team environment.
  • High sense of urgency with an emphasis on customer service.
  • Strong ability to adjust to change and work requirements.
  • Two or more years of related experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations related to compensation decisions and FLSA determinations related to compensation decisions and record requirements.
  • Experience with and understanding of point factor evaluation and salary surveys.
  • Ability to remain resilient amidst challenges.
  • Strong computer skills with work experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
