The theme for this year's International Credit Union Day®  is "Find Your Platinum Lining in Credit Unions."

This year, in Wisconsin, that theme is particularly appropriate: a grand prize winner of $5,000 will be chosen on October 18 - International Credit Union Day - as part of Wisconsin credit unions' Saver's Sweepstakes. The program launched in September with 14 credit unions in 45 cities.

International Credit Union DayObserved annually on the third Thursday in October, the occasion is an opportunity to create awareness about the tremendous value that member-owned credit unions offer consumers, not just in Wisconsin, but nationally and internationally. This fall, be sure to tout credit unions' unique value proposition.

Many credit unions celebrate throughout the month of October with a variety of activities and events.

There are ample free resources available to help you celebrate with members, in your community, and among policymakers!
