Business Case for Lending to the Latino Community (D6)

May 08, 01:15 PM   -  May 08, 02:15 PM

Breakout Session Description

At 60+ million, the Hispanic community is the nation’s largest ethnic minority and the fastest growing population segment. However, Latinos continue to face predatory and discriminatory lending practices that limit their ability to build financial wealth and health. Hispanics have yet to discover credit unions and that represents an opportunity to grow for both the community and the industry.

Learning Objectives

  • Learn how credit unions can understand the nuances of this market, tweak existing loan products and services.
  • Discover ways to truly compete to become the Hispanic community primary financial institutions.
