The League is closely monitoring the ongoing novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. As the situation continues to change rapidly, our top priority remains the health, safety, and well-being of our members and employees. At this time, all League in-person education and training events—including the 2020 Annual Convention & Expo—have been postponed indefinitely.
More information on Convention postponement can be found here. For those who have registered for any other in-person events, our Education & Training Department staff will be in contact with you. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this challenging time.
The League’s Annual Convention & Expo is arriving in Appleton May 6-9, 2020, and what’s in focus this year will be establishing a clear vision of your credit union, The Movement, and much more!
At the Fox Cities Exhibition Center in downtown Appleton, over 500 credit union professionals from across the state will gather for four days to address some of the following questions about their credit union, department, project team, branch, and The Movement at large:
- How can you get various visions for success in sync with one another?
- What happens when there are competing visions?
- What is the role of formal and informal leadership in this process?
- How can/should your vision be communicated to others?
- What happens if your vision isn’t working out as planned?
Helping facilitate these vital conversations will be a variety of talented experts from within the industry and beyond, hosting both general sessions and over 20 breakout sessions. This year’s keynote speakers include ABC News Correspondent and What Would You Do? host John Quiñones, CBS' hit reality show Survivor finalist Holly Hoffman, and Dave Sanderson, the last person off of US Airways Flight 1549 (also known as "The Miracle on the Hudson")—to name just a few.
In addition, The League’s Annual Convention & Expo offers invaluable networking opportunities—whether it’s catching up on the exhibit hall floor (view exhibitors), over cocktails (during the welcome reception or , or while giving back to The Movement at a WCULAF bowling or golf fundraisers.
Registration is now open—save $30 with early bird registration if you purchase by March 31. Young Professionals who are part of the YP Network can save an additional $100 (plus, new this year: first time board member attendees are also eligible for $100 off registration).
We thank all of our generous sponsors that make Convention possible, including CUNA Mutual Group (Diamond Sponsor), Corporate Central Credit Union (Diamond Sponsor), Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago (Diamond Sponsor), and La Macchia Group (Emerald Sponsor). Additional sponsorships are still available.
