As a member of Wisconsin's "Abuse in Later Life Coordinated Community Response Team," The Wisconsin Credit Union League has helped prepare educational brochures about elder abuse--including financial abuse--to help strengthen elder abuse recognition and reporting. Those brochures are now available for web and for professional printing (with markup):

  • What Can You Do to Prevent Elder Fraud and Scams? Web | Print
  • Your Guide to Protecting Yourself and Others from Financial Elder Abuse Web | Print
  • The Warning Signs of Elder Abuse Web | Print

The Response Team is a multidisciplinary group focused on developing and promoting a coordinated, local response to the needs of elder abuse victims in Wisconsin's 72 counties. The team is a collaborative effort, which includes representatives from various disciplines, including law enforcement, adult protective service agencies, other government offices, trade groups, non-profits, and more. The group develops training and educational opportunities for professionals across the state that interact with elder abuse victims.
