On August 23 at University Ridge in Madison, over 70 golfers braved blazing temperatures to raise funds for The Wisconsin Credit Union Foundation at the annual Foundation Invitational. Over $24,000 was raised to help promote credit union development, educate credit union staff and volunteers, support programming to enhance financial literacy, and assist the credit union system in times of need.
(In addition to funds raised, about 100 Liquid I.V. hydration packets were also distributed to help keep golfers hydrated in the 100+ degree heat index!) Check out pictures on Facebook.
Since its inception in 2007, The Foundation has provided over $1.5 million in grants, scholarships, financial literacy initiative support, and disaster support.
