CoVantage Credit Union offers storm relief loans
CoVantage Credit Union announces the launch of its Storm Relief Loan program, designed to provide financial assistance to individuals and families affected by recent severe winter storms. This short-term loan program aims to help cover unplanned expenses related to power outages and storm damage, ensuring that our community members can recover and rebuild with peace of mind. Pay it Forward: Melissa DiCicco grows volunteerism in her family and at Landmark Credit Union
Melissa DiCicco has kept a can of Coca-Cola for nearly a year and a half. DiCicco, senior manager of community and events at Brookfield-based Landmark Credit Union, was volunteering at United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County’s Project Homeless Connect event in October 2023 when she met a woman, named Julia. Feed My People celebrates new recycling hub with help from Royal Credit Union
Members of Feed My People Food Bank are going green thanks to the help of a local credit union. The food bank held a dedication ceremony for its new recycling hub at its distribution center with members of Royal Credit Union. Here's how it works: Community members can drop off their plastics into a bin that gets collected by the food bank. Plastic used in daily operations by the food bank will also be added to the bin. Feed My People will then receive funding for all the collected plastic which they will reinvest back into their daily operations. (Royal Credit Union, 4/23)
Landmark Credit Union Teams Up with Milwaukee Libraries for Spring Diaper Drive to Assist Families in Need
A collaborative effort is providing relief to families facing the everyday challenge of affording diapers and wipes—a necessity for any household with little ones. The Spring Diaper Drive, an initiative by Landmark Credit Union and supported by the Milwaukee County Federated Library System, is making strides to alleviate this burden. Connexus celebrates national volunteer week with event benefitting The Neighbor's Place
More than 100 volunteers packed the ballroom at Dale's Weston Lanes Thursday to help out The Neighbor's Place. Connexus Credit Union held the event, packing hygiene kits, pantry essentials and potty-training kits for those in need. They spent about $20,000 to buy the supplies that were then packed by employees Thursday morning. For Connexus, it's an important way to give back to the community they serve. MMCCU Hosting Kids Coloring Contest
Marshfield Medical Center Credit Union (MMCCU) is currently hosting a Kids Coloring Contest and will be participating in the Marshfield Clinic Health System YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, April 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Marshfield YMCA, located at 410 W McMillan Street. The annual event is free and open to the public and promotes health, safety, and wellness for children and families in the community. (Marshfield Medical Center Credit Union, 4/10)
Lace up those running shoes, the Eau Claire Marathon is back
Lace up those running shoes because the Eau Claire marathon is back, and while thousands race to chase that runner’s high, others are going the distance for charity. The Eau Claire marathon has become known as one of the biggest small-town races in the U.S., and one of the most anticipated events is the 10K Charity Classic. Three non-profits that will benefit from the race are Community for Outdoor Recreation, Biking, and Adventure (CORBA), Girls on the Run Chippewa Valley, and Valley Girls Cycling Club. Royal Credit Union and Eau Claire Area Chamber celebrate milestone anniversaries
Royal Credit Union (Royal) hosted a ribbon cutting celebration in honor of the 110th Birthday of the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce (the Chamber) and the 20th Anniversary of Royal’s Corporate Center opening in downtown Eau Claire. WESTconsin Credit Union to host $MART Financial Literacy Week
In celebration of Financial Literacy Month this April, WESTconsin Credit Union is excited to host $MART Financial Literacy Week from April 14–19. Youth members and community members are invited to stop by their local WESTconsin office to pick up and play $MART Bingo, a fun and engaging game designed to teach valuable money management skills.
