Last week, credit union leaders from across our state traveled to Washington, D.C. for The Wisconsin Credit Union League's 2025 Hike the Hill.

Together with system partners, attendees thanked members of Congress for maintaining the credit union federal tax status, a public policy created by Congress over 90 years ago and reaffirmed this year. Attendees also received a timely update from NCUA Board Chair Kyle Hauptman, and networked with credit union leaders from Minnesota and Montana as part of the TriState Collaborative.

This year's Hike the Hill came on the heels of a major tax fight and served as productive conversation with policymakers in Washington as they continue to make policy decisions impacting how credit unions can continue to serve their members. Thank you to all of those who made the trip to Washington to help make their voice heard.
