Summary

The Financial and Data Analyst will play a key role in supporting Superior Choice Credit Union’s financial health and strategic growth. This position is responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights that guide decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with a commitment to SCCU’s member-focused values.

Responsibilities

  •  Analyze financial statements, budgets, and operational data to identify trends and variances.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and the Board.
  • Develop financial forecasts and models to support strategic planning and lending decisions.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend actions to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Assist in asset/liability management and liquidity analysis.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for new products, services, and branch initiatives.
  • Support regulatory compliance by ensuring accurate reporting and documentation.
  • Collaborate with lending, operations, and executive teams to provide financial insights for business decisions.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude toward Credit Union initiatives and mission statement, supporting member acquisition and retention

Qualifications

  • Two to four years of similar or related experience
  • (1) a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field or (2) relevant work experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Ability to use office technology such as a computer, internet, email, and other office related software
  • Ability to work in an office environment for at least 8 hours per day
  • Reliable and have the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner when working remotely
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented
  • Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with data visualization tools a plus
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
