Emotional Intelligence Leadership
Neil Ihde, Professional Speaker | Life IQ
Leadership requires one to move beyond being an individual contributor to getting the work done through others. Success as a leader is directly related to your emotional intelligence - your self-awareness, your ability to regulate your emotions, your ability to empathize and connect with your employees. The first step of emotional intelligence is self-awareness and studies show that only 20% possess it. Understanding yourself, self-confidence, and the ability to empathize and motivate others multiplies your effectiveness and influence. Intelligence doesn't guarantee your success as a leader, but emotional intelligence will.

12:30 pm – 2:00 pm
Lunch and Wrap-up

Neil Ihde

Neil Ihde, Professional Speaker | Life IQ

He attended conferences, had seen speakers and thought he could do that too. But it took him several years to figure out how one does that and what exactly he was going to talk about.

He has a BA in Psychology, a BA in Sociology and a MA in counseling and spent the first part of his career working with adolescents and adults in a variety of mental health settings. He eventually migrated into training and was a Learning and Development Consultant in a large healthcare organization for six years.

There he developed, delivered, and managed a management education series for both new/emerging leaders and seasoned leaders.

In 2006, he created my speaking company called Life IQ. Fast forward to today and he's worked with twenty-five Fortune 500 companies and traveled all over the country.

His goal for every audience that he works with is to present pragmatic, thought-provoking content in an engaging, energetic manner. He includes stories and real-life examples to add relevance and perspective.
