Olivia Buell

Liv Buell

Product Manager

Liv is a Product Manager who works extensively to improve products and services for both members and credit union teams. After blending seamlessly into any position necessary throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and a recent merger, Liv is affectionately known as the “Chameleon.” She consistently drives collaboration and team engagement while continuing to ask hard questions that encourage both personal and organizational growth.

As a motivated young professional in the workplace, Liv has gained the respect and trust of many departments and teams throughout her career. Her love for learning has driven her to jump into new tasks, many times simply for the enjoyment of learning something new. This desire to learn has helped her advance quickly during her time in the credit union industry. Liv holds a MA in Executive Leadership and BA in Interdisciplinary Studies, both from Liberty University, and will graduate from CUNA Management School in July of 2023.

Aaron has worked at UWCU in member facing roles for almost 8 years. Prior to his work at UWCU, he managed political campaigns in Northeastern Wisconsin and worked in the Wisconsin State Capitol for the State Senate. Naturally, promoting The Credit Union Difference is important to Aaron, and is a reason why he is involved with The Wisconsin Credit Union League. He is also a strong believer in developing credit union employees, especially young professionals, by way of networking and educational events through The League. In his off time, he enjoys getting outdoors riding motorcycles, kayaking, camping, cutting firewood, or hiking.


Kelly Culver

Branch Operations Manager
Shoreline Hometown Credit Union

Kelly has over 14 years of banking experience and has been a part of The Credit Union Movement for over 4 years since joining Shoreline Hometown Credit Union as a Branch Operations Manager. She graduated from UW-Green Bay with a degree in Environmental Science, but her passion has always been working with people. While at Shoreline, Kelly has developed programs that provide financial education to everyone in her community, specifically those who are underbanked and those who need guidance rebuilding their finances after unexpected life events. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time crafting, gardening, camping with family, and being goofy with her 4- and 8-year-old daughters. She also always tries to catch a Brewers game when she can, whether it is listening to Bob Uecker on the radio, sitting on the couch with her husband watching the game, or going to the ballpark.


Melissa Janssen

Program Director of Community Relations
Royal Credit Union

As Program Director of Community Relations, Melissa helps lead Royal Credit Union’s community engagement, advocacy and public relations efforts. She started her credit union career as a financial educator and quickly fell in love with the Movement and all things YP! She is currently a Young Professional Advisor to the Wisconsin Credit Union League Board of Directors and serves on the YP Bootcamp planning committee. She is passionate about creating new opportunities for young professionals and helping them grow as confident leaders and credit union advocates. She is very active in her community and loves spending her free time traveling and doing anything that allows her to be in nature.


Jenny Rathke

WESTconsin Credit Union

Jenny began working for WESTconsin in August of 2016 as an Office Supervisor at their then newly constructed Altoona office location.  After leading her team through a new location opening and establishing a passion for the credit union movement in general, she attended her first State GAC event and immediately grew an interest for all things advocacy, preserving credit unions’ tax status, and connecting with elected officials to highlight the credit union difference as often as possible.  Jenny was promoted to Vice President Member Advocacy in 2019 and has enjoyed every opportunity learn more about the unique structure of credit unions, the unique ways in which we are able to provide service to members and advocating for important issues on their behalf ever since.


Brook Woodbury

Brook started her Credit Union Advocacy Mission in 2021 at Westby Co-op Credit Union (WCCU) in Reedsburg as a MSR. Since then, she has graduated from UW-Whitewater with her Bachelor’s in Business Administration with an Emphasis in Financial Planning and works at the Portage WCCU location as a Business Deposit Specialist. Her hobbies include camping, hiking, stand-up paddle boarding at Devil’s Lake, and spending time with her friends and family. Brook holds the secretary position for the Baraboo FFA Alumni & Supporters and serves as a Section 6 Wisconsin FFA Alumni & Supporters Council Member. Her two favorite credit union networking events so far have been the 2023 State GAC and the fall 2022 YP Conference.
