A Prize-Linked Savings Program

Saver's Sweepstakes® is a prize-linked savings account offered by Wisconsin credit unions that lets consumers earn entries into drawings for cash prizes by making deposits into qualified savings accounts. It's that simple.

For each $25 that you grow your monthly balance, you'll earn one entry. That's one entry into the monthly drawing, one entry into the quarterly drawing and one entry into the annual drawing! Multiple winners are drawn each month. The best part is there's no risk of losing your savings! Win-win!

In early 2023, Saver's Sweepstakes was honored as a recipient of the 2022 Governor's Financial Literacy Awards, which recognizes individuals and organizations for their excellence in increasing financial literacy, capability, and inclusion among Wisconsin citizens.

Happy Fifth Anniversary to Saver's Sweepstakes!

This year marks the five year anniversary of this program in Wisconsin and the numbers speak to the success of this initiative. Wisconsinites have saved over $25.7 million, with an average saver's account balance of $1,629. Statewide winnings have exceeded $530,000 since 2018, with many credit unions choosing to award additional prizes to their own members. Prizes range from $100 to $5,000.

Saver's Sweepstakes® Savings Tips Reach 75,000 Wisconsinites

Since saving money remains a popular New Year's resolution, The League decided to kick off the year by sharing savings tips combined with the Savers Sweepstakes® program throughout the month of January in a paid social media campaign on Facebook. This campaign reached 75,000 Wisconsinites of all ages and directed individuals to open up a Savers account at a participating credit union in their area.

Nearly $23 Million Saved by Wisconsinites through Saver's Sweepstakes® in Just Four Years

According to The Federal Reserve's annual Survey of Household Economics & Decision-Making, nearly half of Americans have difficulty or are unable to cover a $400 emergency expense. This startling statistic spurred The Wisconsin Credit Union League to take action, and, in 2018, Saver's Sweepstakes was launched.
